Gallery Artists' Exhibit at A New Leaf Gallery

The Floyd Artists Association dba A New Leaf Gallery is proud to present an exhibit by its members in their gallery in The Station at 203 S. Locust Street in downtown Floyd. This special exhibit whose theme is "Floyd's Winter Wonders" will only be hanging for the month of January.

Floyd Artist Association has been open for 11½ years and has 14 artists, whose works cover all media and genres of art. Their pieces include many depictions of farm animals, special UFO scenes, wild animals, peaceful rural landscapes, pet portr
aits, graceful mandalas, stunning colored pencil art, several styles of jewelry, wood block prints, including encaustic pieces of beeswax with oil paint depictions and imaginative abstract designs.  Stop by and chat with the artist on duty, who can give you information on all the other talented artists in the group.

A New Leaf Gallery offers fine art originals and prints in all media, sterling silver jewelry, note cards, pottery, books by The members are already planning for a repeat of their very successful Valentine event: “A Chocolate Affair” on Saturday, February 9, 1:00 – 4:00. Activities include lots of chocolate items, hand made by the artists, door prizes and raffles on two large, spectacular gift baskets, containing art pieces and donations from many Floyd merchants. Stop in to the gallery for raffle tickets in late January or early February or contact the gallery.  

New guest artists' exhibits are scheduled every two months, with an opening reception on the First Friday of the first month of their exhibit. The winter gallery hours are in effect January 1st through the end of March: Wednesday through Saturday, 11-4; Sunday, noon-4 pm. Tel. 540-745-7367.
