Annie Armistead Hosts Holiday Trunk Show

The Floyd Artists Association is featuring the popular jewelry designs of Annie Armistead, at the FAA gallery – one day only – Saturday, December 8th,11:30 am– 4:30 pm. She is holding a Holiday Trunk Show at the FAA Gallery in The Station at 203 S. Locust Street in downtown Floyd.

Annie has been lucky to call the Blue Ridge Mountains “home” her entire life. She grew up in a family of talented 2-D artists and she struggled to find her own artistic voice. That opportunity came when she studied under Silversmith, Tiva Chaffin in Nashville Tennessee. She has spent the ensuing years sharing her knowledge of the craft with other jewelry enthusiasts. Her work has been appearing in many regional venues, including many juried art shows in the Southeast, winning many awards including Best in Show, First Place 3-D and First Place Jewelry.

“My work is driven by the need for challenge and a passion to create,” she recently explained. “Inspiration can pop up at any times but is most always influenced by my love for nature and my Southwestern Virginia heritage.”

Don't miss this special one-day-onlyopportunity to view this unique selection for some early Christmas shopping.

The gallery is open seven days a week, weather permitting: Monday through Thursday, 11-5; Friday 11-7; Saturday, 10-5; Sunday, noon-4 pm. Tel. 540-745-7367

Floyd Artists Association offers fine art originals and prints in all media, sterling silver jewelry, note cards, pottery, books by local authors and gifts. New guest artists' exhibits are scheduled every two months, with an opening reception on the First Friday of the first month.
