Selena Doolittle McColley
12"x24" gallery wrapped canvas (all sides painted to extend the scene)
A recent edition to the gallery and our online store, "Hitchcock Creek" has great meaning for the artist.
"Three things I have always been drawn to are water, a good storm and the moon. Earlier this year I painted several waves. I was troubled, a few worries were creeping in and the ocean called me...calmed me. My husband and I find ourselves again facing a major challenge but this time still waters are calling reminding me to be calm and patient. Let go...let be.
Hitchcock Creek runs through the county I grew up in. I spent many a day as a young girl running the banks and as a teen catching catfish, eel and a few turtles. I did use a reference photo but I am IN this painting. So much of me is in there...then and now." --Selena Doolittle McColley
