Loss Bent Creek runs through our property here in Floyd, VA. For fifteen years now I've been riding through here during the changing seasons and thinking, "That would make a beautiful painting!" I finally worked up the nerve to take my painting outside and work plein air. I am in love!

The colors, the smells, the fall air, the bubbling creek as it tumbles over and among the rocks captivate me...but, the color!...makes me smile.
