"Stonington Strings" acrylic by Linda Edlund

This painting is of the wharf in Stonington, Maine. Hanging from a rope stretched between two posts is another one on which mermaids hang lobster trap and fishing boat ropes. These have washed up on the shore or entangled among traps on the bottom of the sea. 

The painting is 16 x 20 in a wooden floater frame.
