"Of Red Earth and Precious Water" by J K (Karen) Phillips Sewell, Original Encaustic

Original Encaustic (Beeswax) Painting on Cradled Wood Panel, 11"x14"x1.5"

As our climate changes with global warming and moves toward uncertainty, fresh water will become more and more precious for our survival as well as that of the animals and environment around us.  This recurring theme in my paintings comes from an appreciation of what we have and what we need to do to keep the good things in life that are being threatened.
