"This is one of the few drawings I have done from my imagination. I felt like Santa should resemble my dad, and though he doesn't at all, I did refer to many of my dad's features to support what was going on in my head. I'm reflected in the red bulb as I was drawing because I actually held one to observe the play of light on the shiny glass; red, because it's my favorite color and I LOVED those big ol' bulbs as a child." -- Jennifer Carpenter
