Encaustics can be an unpredictable medium, fluid when hot wax moves and mixes with the underlying layers.  But it has a smooth and mysterious quality that I love working with.  SILENT ARRIVAL evolved from seeing a single eye and beak amidst the swirling colors.  

To control the quality, I personally print all of my fine art reproductions on 100% archival cotton papers with 200+ year inks.
