"I did this piece to grieve the loss of my mom. She collected cobalt blue glass and these particular pieces have special memories attached to them. I just wanted to be alone with those items and my memories of her...never thought the drawing would mean anything to anyone but me. The original was accepted into the International Colored Pencil Exhibition and brought home my first award at the International level. It went on to be featured in The Artist's Magazine.
