The bromeliads grew all around an oak tree in my front yard when I lived in Florida. The lived through the winters and bloomed faithfully every year. I was always stunned when they bloomed. If you can imagine hundreds of these pretty pink blooms. They were a sight to see. I painted them often because they brought me so much joy.
