Collection: Linda Edlund

Linda Edlund is new to the world of painting and mixed media. She started a stained glass business in the 1980s and worked in glass for about ten years before attending VCU as an education major. For the next several decades she taught middle school students science, math, and language arts. After retirement, she worked again in glass. Then, one day she overheard a conversation about a one-day class in acrylics. She jumped right in! Then the pandemic shut everything down except Linda’s desire to paint. So paint she did. Twenty paintings later, Linda decided this was something she could do. It’s now been five years since that first class. She is one of fourteen artists in a gallery in Floyd, Virginia, where she displays and sells her work. Linda has exhibited her work in exhibits in internationally, as well as in Pennsylvania and galleries and art centers across Virginia.
