A New Leaf Gallerywould like you to help us honor our guest Sculptor Jennifer Lovejoy, Painter Howard Wenger and our gallery featured artist Painter Lori Sutphin by visiting our Fine Art Gallery inside the Station across from the Floyd Country Store. These exhibits will be on display in the gallery September and October.
Having an extensive background, with both a bachelor's and a master's degree in architecture Sculptor, Jennifer Lovejoyhas an artistic toolbox allowing her to play with light, form, texture and scale. She applies these along with the integrity of the material to create her work. Residing in Craig County with her family in a home she designed, she has carved herself into a successful art community. She carves with Backyard Stone Carvers, founded by Darcy Meeker, participates in the annual workshop there and has exhibited her work with ArtJam. Her work has been seen in and around North Carolina and Virginia.

Painter, Howard Wengerdraws inspiration from many sources around him. While living and painting in Floyd County, Howard enjoys working in his vineyard of grapes and blueberries, he enjoys songwriting and playing guitar and studying the work of other artists. With all these sources combined, he creates paintings that speak to the spirit of our environment and our place within it.

Starting with private art lessons at an early age and then continuing through college at Memphis College of Art in TN, A New Leaf Gallery's own featured artist, Painter, Lori Sutphinhas painted a colorful life in the arts. Now an accomplished artist, she has traveled and showcased her work in numerous states, won many awards, taught art lessons, workshops and owned 2 art galleries and frame stores. Lori expresses her passion for the fading nostalgia of architecture and the beauty of botanical plant life, landscapes and wildlife in her paintings. She creates paintings that she hopes will inspire one to pay attention to the details that are present all around us. Her paintings contain vibrant colors, richness, texture and details that are realistic and photo-like.
A New Leaf Galleryinvites visitors to our Fine Art Gallery inside the Station across from the Floyd Country Store in Floyd, VA. The Gallery proudly offers fine art originals and prints in all media, photography, sterling silver jewelry, note cards, pottery, books by local authors and gifts.
